Amy Ellen’s full name is Amy Ellen Jones. Amy is an English female cricket player. She was born on 13 December 1993 in Solihull, West Midlands. Amy Allen stars as a wicketkeeper and right-handed batsman for Central Sparks, Warwickshire, Birmingham Phoenix and England. She made her England debut in 2014 and is the holder of an ECB central contract. Ellen was brought up in Sutton, Coldfield. Amy attended John Wilmot School. Her first experience in organized sport was playing in the boys football team for Aston Villa in 2001. She joined Walmsley Cricket Club and quickly rose through the ranks.

Jones is in an affair with Pippa Cleary, an Australian seam bowler who plays for the Perth Scorchers. In 2022, after a few years of a long distance relationship, Cleary moved to Britain and started playing for the North West Thunder. Jones and Cleary are now both based in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

On 8 September 2021, England captain Nat Sciver announced that she had decided to withdraw from their home white-ball series against India “to focus on her mental health and well-being”. In his absence, Jones was selected as England captain for the WT20I and Women’s ODI series.
