Nigar Sultana (born 17 January 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper for the Bangladesh national women’s cricket team. She made her One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh against Ireland in November 2011 and her Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Sri Lanka in March 2014.
Sultana represented Bangladesh at several age-group tournaments including the 2008 U-19 Women’s World Cup Qualifier and the 2010 Asian Games. She played domestic cricket for Chittagong Division. In her ODI debut against Ireland in 2011, Sultana scored 38 runs. She has played over 50 ODIs and 70 T20Is for Bangladesh so far. Her highest score in ODIs is 76 not out against Pakistan in 2018. In T20Is, her highest score is an unbeaten 49 against India in 2018.
Sultana was part of Bangladesh’s squad at the 2014, 2016 and 2018 Women’s T20 World Cups and the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier. She captained Bangladesh for a period from 2017 to 2018.
