Anrich Nortje is a South African International cricketer who plays for the South Africa National Cricket team as a Bowler, He is a Right-arm fast bowler and Right handed batsman. Anrich made his international debut for the South Africa cricket team in March 2019. He also plays for the Eastern Province team in Domestic cricket as a Fast Bowler. Anrich Arno Nortje was born on 16 November 1993 in Uitenhage, Cape Province, South Africa in a Sports lover family. Anrich was very fond of playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a young age. Anrich was more interested in sports than in studies. Due to his tall stature, he had to become a fast bowler from the beginning. Because of this, seeing his interest in cricket, his father got him enrolled in the Cricket Academy where he honed his skills and worked hard.
After some time he gets a chance to play for the Eastern Province team in Domestic cricket. Nortje made his first-class debut for Eastern Province on 7 February 2013 against Namibia and he took three wickets in his debut match. He made his t20 debut for Eastern Province on 10 February 2013 against Namibia. In October 2013 Nortje made his List “A” debut for Eastern Province against Orange free state. He was included in the Eastern Province’s squad for the 2016 Africa T20 Cup.
With his great performance, he impressed South Africa Selectors and get a chance to play for South Africa National Team. Nortje made his One Day International(ODI) debut for South Africa on 3 March 2019 against Shri Lanka. Nortje made his T20 International debut for South Africa on 18 September 2019 against India Team. He made his Test debut for South Africa on 10 October 2019 against India In the same tour.
Soon he gets a chance to play in the Most Famous League Indian Premier League Tournament. In the 2018 Ipl Auction he was Bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders at the price of 20 Lakhs Rs for the 2019 Ipl Tournament but He was ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury.
In the 2020 Ipl Auction Anrich was bought by the Delhi Capitals at the price of 89.82 Lakhs Rs for the 2020 Ipl Tournament. In the 2023 Ipl Auction Anrich Nortje was retained by the Delhi Capitals at the price of 6.50 Crore Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament.
