Fazalhaq Farooqi is an Afghanistani International cricketer who plays for the Afghanistan National Cricket team in all three Formerly as a Bowler, He is a Left Arm Fast Medium bowler and Right handed batsman. Fazalhaq made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in March 2021.
He also played for the Amo Region team in Domestic cricket as a bowler. He plays many twenty20 League for various teams such recently Farooqi is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League as a Bowler. He featured as a net bowler for the Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings in IPL.
Fazalhaq Farooqi was born on 22 September 2000 in Baghlan, Afghanistan In a Middle-Class Family. Fazalhaq had a great passion for playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket for his school team at the age of 9. Seeing his cricketing skills and interest, his father got him enrolled in the Cricket Academy where he honed his skills and worked hard. Being middle class, it was very difficult for him to pay the fees of the academy but his father always stood for Fazalhaq.
Later he started playing domestic cricket for the Amo Region team. On 13 November 2017, He made his First Class debut for Amo Region in the 2017-18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. He made his List A debut for Amo Region on 10 July against the Kabul-Region team in 2018 in the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament. Later He made his Twenty20 Debut for Boost Defenders On 14 October 2019 in the 2019 Shpageeza Cricket League.
Due to his Brilliant performance in the domestic, he gets a chance to play for the Junior Afghanistan team. In December 2019, He was named in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In December 2018, Fazalhaq was named in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2018 Under-23 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
He Impressed everyone with his Performance and he get a chance to play for the Afghanistan National team. He made his T20 International debut for Afghanistan on 20 March 2021 against Zimbabwe Team. Later Farooqi made his One day International debut for Afghanistan Team on 25 January 2022 against the Netherlands.
Soon He was noticed by the Ipl Franchises’ selectors and got a chance to play In The World’s most famous and expensive league Ipl. In February 2022 Ipl Auction he was Bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of 50 Lakhs Rs for the 2022 Indian Premier League. In the 2023 Ipl Auction Fazalhaq Farooqi was retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of 50 Lakhs Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament.
