Glenn Dominic Phillips was born on 6 December 1996 in Eastern London, Cape Town, South Africa In a Businessman Family. He was born in South Africa but at age 5, Glenn’s Family moved to New Zealand for some reason and lives there. Phillips was very fond of playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket at the age of just 5 years. He did his schooling at Sacred Heart College, Auckland where he started playing cricket at the age of nine and played many under ages matches for teams.
After completing his schooling, he joined a cricket academy to hone his cricketing skills and focused on cricket. Later he started playing domestic cricket for Various teams. He made his List A debut for the Auckland team on 24 January 2015 against Central D in the 2015 Ford Trophy. He made his T20 Debut for Auckland on 4 December 2016 against the Otago Volts team in the 2016–17 Super Smash. Later He made his first-class debut for Auckland on 6 March 2017 against Canterbury in the 2016–17 Plunket Shield season.
He impressed New Zealand selectors with his Performance and soon get a chance to play for New Zealand Team. He made his T20 International debut for New Zealand on 17 February 2017 against South Africa at Eden Park, Auckland. Phillips made his Test Debut for the New Zealand team on 3 January 2020 against Australia Team. Later He made his One day International debut for New Zealand on 10 July 2022 against Ireland.
Due to his performance, he gets a chance to play in Ipl. Glenn was signed by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the price of 1 Crore Rs in the middle of the season as a replacement for Jos Buttler. He made his Ipl Debut for Rajasthan Royals on 2 October 2021 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
In the 2022 Ipl Auction He was Bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of 1.5 Crore Rs for the 2022 Ipl Tournament. In the 2023 Ipl Auction Glenn Phillips was retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of 1.5 Crore Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament.
