Najibullah Zadran is an Afghan International cricketer who p; plays for the Afghanistan National Cricket team as a Batsman, He is a Left Handed Batsman and Right-arm off-break bowler. He made his International debut for Afghanistan in July 2012 and since then has been a consistent member of the squad in both limited-overs formats. Najibullah Zadran was born on 28 February 1993 in Kabul, Afghanistan in a Middle-Class Family. Najibullah was very fond of playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket with his friends at the age of 6. Though he initially started as a bowler, he eventually developed his interest in batting by nurturing his batting skills. Due to a lack of relations in the world of cricket, Najibullah struggled for many years to make a place in the domestic team but finally, he got a chance to play in the domestic team.
Najibullah made his T20 debut for Afghan Cheetas against Rawalpindi in the Faysal Bank T20 Tournament. He made his First Class Debut for Band-e-Amir Region in 2011. Later Najibullah made his List “A” debut for Band-e-Amir Region team in December 2011. After his magnificent performances at the domestic level Najibullah was selected in the Afghanistan squad in 2012.
Najibullah was named in the Afghanistan Sqaud for the 2011 Under-19 World Cup held in Ireland. Najibullah made his One Day International debut for Afghanistan on 5 July 2012 against Ireland Team. Zadran made his T20 International debut for Afghanistan on 19 September 2012 against India Team. In December 2018, Zadran was named as the captain of Afghanistan’s under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. In April 2019, Najibullah was named in the Afghanistan’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In September 2021, Zadran was named in the Afghanistan’s squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In July 2021, Najibullah was named as the vice captain of the Afghanistan’s T20 International squad.
