Riyan Parag was born on 10 November 2001 in Guwahati Assam, India in the Hindu Family. Riyan was born and grew up in a Sports Family. Because of that Riyan had a great interest in sports since childhood, he has played various sports and has represented Assam at the state level, but Parag was most interested in cricket and used to play cricket with his father. His father, Parag Das, was a former first-class domestic cricketer for the Assam team, and his mother, Mithoo Barooah was a former Assam swimmer.
To get better at cricket, Ryan was admitted to the Cricket Academy where he further improved his cricket skills and started playing domestic cricket for the Assam cricket team. Parag made his T20 Debut for Assam on 29 January 2017, in the 2016-17 Inter-State Twenty–20 Tournament. Later He made his first-class debut for Assam against Hyderabad in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy on 17 November 2017 At the age of 16 years.
Due to his Outstanding performance for Assam in domestic cricket got noticed by the Indian Selectors and was named in the Indian Squad for the 2018 Under-19 World Cup tournaments and ultimately India won the championship. Soon Riyan was noticed by the Ipl Franchise selectors and hot chance to play in Ipl Tournament. In December 2018 ipl auction Riyan was bought by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2019 Indian premier league tournament at the base price of 20 Lakhs Rs.
Riyan is Playing for Rajasthan Royals since the 2019 ipl season at the same price of 20 lakhs Rs but in the 2023 Ipl auction Parag was Retained by the Rajasthan Royals at the sold price of 3.80 Crores Rs for the 2023 Indian premier league tournament.
