Sarfaraz Ahmed was born on 22 May 1987 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan to a family with a printing press business. Sarfaraz’s ancestors were residents of Uttar Pradesh, which is now a part of India. Sarfaraz had a great passion for playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a young age. Seeing his interest in cricket, his father enrolled him in a cricket academy where he honed his skills and worked hard. But in 2006, Ahmed’s father passed away.
Sarfaraz played many domestic cricket for Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan International Airlines, Quetta Gladiators, and Yorkshire team as a batsman after that he got a chance to play for the Pakistan National cricket team. Sarfaraz was called up by Pakistan as a cover for Kamran Akmal in the one-day series against India, He made his One Day International (ODI) debut For Pakistan on 18 November 2007 against India Team. After three years Sarfaraz made his Test Debut for Pakistan on 14 January 2010 against Australia Team. Later He made his T20 International debut for Pakistan on 19 February 2010 against England team.
