Shaheen grown up playing cricket and tannis ball in the berren hills of Landi Kotal Bordering Afghanistan. Riyaz Afridi introduced Shaheen to hardball cricket after seeing Shaheen performing brilliantly in tennis ball.
Shaheen worked hard on his fast bowling and Afridi, who emerged as a successful Pakistani fast bowler, was included in the Pakistan National Cricket Team at a very young age. Shaheen was first approached for the professional cricket trail in 2015 at the age of 15. In 2017, Shaheen Afridi was signed by Bangladesh Premier League franchise Dhaka Dynamites for a two-year contract.
Shaheen was included in the Balochistan squad in 2018 for the Pakistan Cup 2018. Apart from this, Afridi has played cricket for a number of franchaises across the world. On 3 April 2018, Shaheen Afridi made his debut for Pakistan National Cricket Team in a T20 International match against the West Indies. In September 2018, Shaheen was named in Pakistan’s One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2018 Asia Cup.
On 21 September 2018 Afridi made his OneDay International (ODI) debut for Pakistan against Afghanistan National team. on 3 December 2018 Shaheed Afridi made his first Test debyu for Pakistan National team agaianst New Zealand team. Shaheen Afridi is the captain of the Pakistan Premier League franchise Lahore Qalandars.
