Wriddhiman Saha is an Indian Cricketer who play for India National cricket team as Batter and Wicketkeeper. He is a Right Handed batsman and wicket keeper. He played for Tripura team in domastic cricket. In previeslly in Indian Premier league he played for Sunrisers hyderabad and currently he is playing for new team Gujrat Titans in ipl since 2022.
Wriddhiman Saha was born on 24 October 1984 in Silipur, West Bangal, India. As a child, Wriddhiman aspired to become an F1 Driver(Car Racer). Wriddhiman had to give up his dream due to his family’s financial condition and low awareness of the sport in his country.
Saha had a lot of interest in sports since childhood, he wanted to become an athlete, leaving his childhood dream, he wanted to make a career in cricket and he was so interested in cricket that he had left his studies to play cricket. Wriddhiman’s father Prasantha played both football and cricket in the Siliguri League, but he stopped playing sports due to poor financial condition. Saha started playing cricket with a tennis ball, after which he prepared to become a wicket-keeper and batsman with a leather ball.
Saha started playing cricket in domastic cricket. Firstly Saha played for under 19 Bangal cricket team in domastic and then under 22 against for bangal team. After that On 2006-07, Wriddhiman made her Ranji trophy debut for Bangal against Assam cricket team. Saha made his first-class debut in the 2007–08 Ranji Trophy, against Hyderabad, where he scored 111 not out. After player well in domastic match he got a chance to made debut in Indian premier league(IPL).
Wriddhiman made her ipl debut for Kolkata knight riders in anagural of ipl 2008. He played first three seasons for KKR. After that 2011 he was picked by Chennai Super Kings as a reserve wicket keeper for MS Dhoni. In 2014 IPL Auction Saha was purchased by the Kings XI Punjab as a specialist wicketkeeper.
In December 2018, he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the auction of Indian premier league. In February 2022, Wriddhiman was bought by the Gujarat Titans in the auction of 2022 Indian Premier League, which team eventully won the tittle.
Wriddhiman made her test debut for team India against South Africa on 9 february 2010 and He scored a duck in the first debut inning. He made her Oneday International debut for team india New Zealand on 28 November 2010. Wriddhiman has not got a chance to debut in shorter formats T20 International.
