Chris Jordan is a Barbadian-born English International cricketer who plays for the England National cricket team as a Bowler, He is a Right Arm Fast Medium bowler and Right handed batsman. He plays for England in two Formets of cricket One Day International(ODIs), and T20 International (T20Is), and previously played a Test match for the team.
He recently represents the Surrey team in Domestic cricket and previously played for the Sussex team. Christopher James Jordan was born on 4 October 1988 in Chris Church, Barbados. Jordan’s parents lived in Barbados, but Chris’ maternal grandmother was British and had British citizenship. Jordan was very fond of playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a young age. Jordan did his early studies in Barbados with the Famous singer Rihanna. For his further studies, Jordan moved to England with his maternal grandmother and received a sports scholarship to complete his formal education.
Later he started playing domestic cricket for Surrey Team. He made his First-class debut for Surrey against the Middlesex team at Lord’s in August 2007. He played many matches for Surrey but In the 2012 season, Jordan was released by Surrey after six years. Jordan was eligible to play for both the West Indies and England and he had a choice between the two teams he chose to play for England and began playing international matches for the English team.
He made his One day International debut for England on 16 September 2013 against Australia. Chris made his T20 International debut for England on 2 February 2014 against the Australia team. Jordan made his Test Debut for England team on 12 June 2014 against Shri Lanka Team.
Jordan also gets a chance to play for World’s Most Famous League Indian Premier League. In the 2016 Ipl Auction, he was picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as the replacement for the injured Mitchell Starc. From 2017 to 2019 Ipl Auction Jordan was picked by the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of 50 Lakhs Rs for the Ipl Tournament.
In the 2020 Ipl Auction, He was bought by the Punjab Kings at the price of 3 Crore Rs for the 2020 Ipl Tournament. In February 2022, Jordan was bought by the Chennai Super Kings at the price of 3.60 Crore Rs for the 2022 Indian Premier League.
