Jofra Archer is a Barbadian English International cricketer who plays for the England National cricket team as an All Rounder, He is a Right-arm Medium Fast bowler and Right handed Batsman. Jofra Chioke Archer was born on 1 April 1995 in Bridgetown, Barbados. Jofra’s father Frank Archer belongs to England and his mother Joelle Waithe belongs to Barbadian. Jofra had a great passion for playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a young age. Archer used to bowl since the early days, he preferred bowling more than batting. To improve his bowling skills, he enrolled in the Cricket Academy where he honed his bowling skills.
Jofra moved to England in 2015 but he was initially ineligible to play for England due to being from Barbadian but after some time he started playing cricket for the England domestic team. Archer made his first-class debut for the Sussex team in July 2016 during the Pakistan to the r of England. He made his List “A” debut for Sussex against the Gloucestershire team in the 2016 Royal London One-Day Cup.
Later he get a chance to play in Ipl, From 2018 to 2021 Ipl Auction Archer was bought by the Rajasthan Royals at the price of 7.20 Crore Rs for the Ipl Tournament. He made his Ipl Debut for Rajasthan Royals on 22 April 2018 against Mumbai Indians. In February 2022 Ipl Auction He was Bought by the Mumbai Indians at the price of 8 Crore Rs for the 2022 Ipl Tournament. In the 2023 Ipl Auction Jofra Archer was retained by the Mumbai Indians at the price of 8 Crore Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament.
Archer was selected in England’s squad for the International Matches. He made his One day International(ODI) debut for England team on 3 May 2019 against Ireland team. Jofra made his T20 International debut for England on 5 May 2019 against Pakistan Team. Later he made his Test Debut for England on 14 August 2019 against Australia Team.
