He was selected for a T20 series against the West Indies in May 2010. On May 20, David Miller played in his first international match, a T201 contest against the West Indies. By striking a six on the final ball, he assisted his team in winning the game. David Miller made his ODI debut in the same series and contributed to another victory for the South African team.
