Dhruv Jurel was born on 21 January 2001 in Agra, Uttar pardesh, India. Dhruv wanted to become an Indian Army like his father. Dhruv’s father is an Indian Army officer who won the victory in Kargil in 1999. He retired from the army since 2008.
Dhruv was not very fond of cricket since childhood, but when he was in 8th standard he went for the summer camp in his school Over there, he saw some children playing cricket and a batsman hitting shots beautifully After that he started getting a lot of interest in cricket. His Father also wanted him to join sports club when he getting intrusted in cricket. His elder sisters encouraged him a lot to play cricket.
After which his father got him enrolled in a cricket academy in Agra where he prepared for batting and after a lot of hard work he got selected in U-14 at the age of 14 for Uttar Pradesh team in domestic cricket. He also played U-16 and U-19 for Uttar Pradesh team in domestic cricket.
After some time Dhruv made his List “A” debut in 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 10 January 2021 for Uttar Pardesh against Punjab Team at Alur. He made his First Class debut on 17 February 2022 Uttar Pardesh against Vidarbha at Sultanpur in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy.
Dhruv’s brilliant performance in domestic cricket impressed all the selectors and he got a chance to play in the IPL. Dhruv was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament at the base prize 20 Lakhs Rs.
