Rishi Dhawan Was Born on 19 February 1990 in Mandi, Himachal Pardesh, India to Middle class hindu family. Rishi was very fond of cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a very young age, He used to play cricket with his elder brother Raghav Dhawan. Rishi gets more passionate about cricket when he looks at his brother playing cricket with friends.
He used to spend more time in cricket practice than studies and his father also gave him full support in cricket and always stood by him. His father enrolled him in the Cricket Academy of Himachal Pradesh, where he honed his bowling skills and after hard work in cricket, he started playing domestic cricket from 2007. Rishi played his first domestic cricket match against Delhi team on 3 April 2007.
Rishi performed very well in the first Domestic match, after which he was selected in the inaugural season of IPL in 2008. He made his List A debut for Himachal Pardesh on February 26, 2008, against Services domestic team. After that He made his first-class cricket debut on 24 November 2009 against Tamil Nadu team in 2008-9 Ranji Trophy. Played very wel domastic cricket he started playing indian premier league match for various team since 2008.
Firsly he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab in the 2008 IPL. He played three seasons for Punjab after that Righi was signed up by the Mumbai Indians in 2013. In February 2017, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders team for the 2017 Indian Premier League at teh base prize Rs. 55 lakhs. By performing well in the IPL, he got the attention of the Indian selectors, after which he got a chance to play in the Indian national team.
He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India Team against Australia on 17 January 2016. Rishi made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for India against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on 18 June 2016. After that he played many domestic cricket in all three formet and always played well. In February 2022, Rishi was bought by the Punjab Kings in the auction for 2022 Indian Premier League tournament at the sold prize Rs. 55 Lakhs.
