Gulbadin Naib is an Afghan International Cricketer who plays for the Afghanistan National Cricket team as an All Rounder, He is a Right Handed Batsman and Right-arm Fast Medium bowler. Gulbadin made his International debut for Afghanistan in August 2011 against the Canada team. He also plays for the Balkh Legends team in domestic cricket as a Fast Bowler. In April 2019, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) named Gulbadin as the team’s new captain of One Day International (ODI) ahead of the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Gulbadin Naib was born on 16 March 1991 in Puli Alam, Logar Province, Afghanistan in a Middle-Class Family. Gulbadin had a great desire to play cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a young age. Seeing his interest in cricket, his father enrolled him in a cricket academy, where he honed his cricket skills and worked hard, after which he started playing domestic matches. He plays many domestic cricket for Afghan Cheetahs since 2011.
Due to his brilliant performance, he got a chance to play for the Afghanistan National Cricket team. Naib made his One Day International debut for Afghanistan on 9 August 2011 against the Canada team in the 2011-13 ICC Intercontinental Cup One-Day. Later Gulbadin made his T20 International debut for Afghanistan on 14 March 2012 against the Netherlands.
