Karn Sharma was born on 23 October 1987 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. Karna was very interested in sports since his childhood, he used to play various sports from an early age but he was most interested in playing cricket. Karna was very good at cricket and his father suggested he make his career in cricket. After this, he got enrolled in the cricket academy in his area, where he paid a lot of attention to his cricket and decided to make cricket his professional career.
After hard work, he started playing domestic matches for the railway cricket team. Karn made his List “A” Debut for the Railway team against Vidarbha At Indore on 18 February 2007 in the 2007-8 Vijay Hazari Trophy. After that Karn made his T20 Debut for Railway on 3 April 2007 against Uttar Pradesh in the 2007-8 Syes Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Karn made his First Class debut for Railwa against Jammu Kashmir on 3 November 2007 in the 2007-8 Ranji Trophy. In that match, he played as a specialist batsman.
Karn scored 120 runs off 232 balls with the help of 17 boundaries. Their excellent performance of Karn in the Ranji Trophy impressed the IPL selectors after which he got a chance to play in IPL. Karn was featured for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2009 Indian premier league tournaments but he did not get a chance to play a single match. In the 2013 Ipl auction Karn was Bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of Rs. 3.75 crores for the 2013 to 2016 all seasons.
In the next Year 2017 ipl auction He was bought by the Mumbai Indian team at the price of 3.20 crores Rs. in the 2017 ipl tournaments and then Karn was picked-up by Chennai Super King by paying 5 crores Rs from 2018 to 2021. In the 2022 ipl Auction Karn was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore under the Faf du Plessis captaincy for the price of 50 Lakhs Rs in 2022 ipl tournaments. Karn Sharma was retained by the RCB for the same price of 50 Lakhs Rs in the 2023 ipl tournaments.
Apart from Ipl’s career Karn also got a chance to play for India’s National cricket team. Karn made his T20 International debut for India on 7 September 2014 against England. After that Karn made his ODI debut for Indian Against Shri Lanka on 13 November 2014. Sharma made his Test debut for India on 9 December 2014 against Australia.
