Km Asif also known as Mohammed Asif is an Indian Cricketer who plays for Kerala in Domestic cricket as a Bowler, He is a Right Arm Fast bowler and right-handed batsman. Recently he is playing for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League Tournament as a bowler and Previously he played for Chennai Super Kings.
Km Asif was born on 24 July 1993 in Edavanna, Kerala, India in a middle-class family. Asif’s childhood was full of difficulties, he used to belong to a poor family. Asif’s father was a daily wage laborer while his mother was a homemaker. Her younger brother is intellectually disabled and her younger sister faces challenges after suffering a brain injury during her formative years.
Asif was very fond of playing cricket since childhood, he started playing cricket from a young age. He wanted to become a famous cricketer since childhood, for which he started playing for his school cricket team and gradually he improved his cricket skills and worked hard. In 2016, Asif worked in Dubai as a storekeeper and soon he returned home to attend a fast-bowling trial conducted across India.
He made his T20 Debut for Kerala on 12 January 2018 in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League. Asif made his List A debut for Kerala in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 9 February 2018. Later He made his first-class debut for Kerala on 9 December 2019 in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy.
Due to his Performance in Domestic matches, he gets a chance to play in Ipl. From 2018 to 2022 Ipl Auction He was Bought by the Chennai Super Kings at the price of 40 Lakhs Rs for the Indian Premier League. He made his Ipl debut for Chennai Super Kings against Delhi Daredevils after an injury to Deepak Chahar. In 2023 Ipl Auction Km Asif was bought by the Rajasthan Royals at the price 30 Lakhs Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament.
