Mustafizur Rahman was born on 6 September 1995 in Satkhira, Khulna, Bangladesh. Mustafiroz had a great passion for cricket since childhood, he grew interested in cricket when he used to walk 40 kilometers with his brother to play cricket, at that time he did not take cricket very seriously, but gradually his interest in cricket increased. He grew up and started preparing to make cricket his profession.
Although Mustafiruz’s father Abul Qasim Ghazi is an ardent fan of cricket, but he wanted Rahman to become a doctor. This affected Mustafiruz’s education as he sometimes skipped school to play cricket. Before his bowling career, Mustafizur started playing cricket as a batsman with a tennis ball. Eventually, with his hard work and talent, he convinced his father to support him in his career, after which he got admitted to the Professional Cricket Academy, where he focused on bowling and emerged as an excellent bowler. After that He started playing domestic cricket for Khulna Division and Abahani Limited.
In 2014, Mustafizur made his debut for Khulna Division and Abahani Limited in first-class cricket and List-A cricket. Soon Mustafiruz was selected in the Bangladesh Under-19 squad for the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in UAE. Soon He was Noticed by the Bangladesh Cricket Selecters and got chance to represent Bangladesh at International level.
Mustafizur Made his T20 International debut for Bangladesh Team against Pakistan on 24 April 2015, Where He Took main two wickets of Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez. Later He made his Oneday International (ODI) Debut for Bangladesh against India on 18 June 2015 where he took his first five wicket haul off 9.2 overs in his Debut match. He made hsi Test Debut for Bangladesh team against South Africa on 21 July 2015.
Talking about Rahman’s IPL career In February 2016 ipl auction, Mustafizur was drafted by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2016 indian premier league tournaments and in that season he took 17 wickets in just 16 matches and become Emerging Player of the Tournament. In the 2017 IPL auction He was Drafted by the Sunrisers hyderabad after that in 2018 Ipl auction He was bought by the Mumbai Indian at the price 2.20 Crore INR for 2018 indian premier league tournaments.
He played for Mumbai Indians for three years after that In February 2021 he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals from his base price of INR 1.00 crore. In the next season In February 2022 ipl auction, Mustafizur was bought by the Delhi Capitals at the price 2.00 Cr for the 2022 indian premier league auction. In 2023 ipl auction Mustafizur rahman was retained by the Delhi Capitals in 2023 ipl season.
