Nicola started playing domestic cricket she made her debut for the Breakers team before she turned 18.
Afterb that she played many domastic cricket with various team such as New South Wales, Sydney Thunders, Tasmania, Hobert Hurricanes Etc. Carey was part of the victorious Southern Stars squad that won the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 title in Sri Lanka. After performing well in domestic cricket, Nicola got a chance to play in the Australia Women’s National Cricket Team.
She made her women Oneday International(WODI) Debut for Australia against India Women on 12 March 2018. She made her Women T20 International debut for Australia against England On 23 March 2018.
