Ashleigh Gardner was born on 15 April 1997 in Kogarah, New South Wales, Australia. She is an Aboriginal Australian, Her Indegenous roots come from her Mother, who basically belong to the Muruwari Community. Gardner played a variety of sports growing up, but soon She took up cricket as his passion. She spent his childhood playing cricket with his father in their backyard.
Seeing her interest in cricket, her father got her admitted in the Cricket Academy where she used to practice cricket. After that ashleigh started her career. Gardner made her domastic debut for New South Wales in the 2015–16 season of Women National Cricket League. After that she joined Sydney Sixers for the inaugural Women Big Bash League season. She also played for Northern Districts, South Ausralia.
After doing well in domestic cricket, She got a chance to play in australia national women’s cricket team. Ashleigh made her Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) debut on 17 February 2017 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground Stadium. On 2 March 2017, She made her Women Oneday International(WODI) debut for Australia against New Zealand at Bay Oval cricket stadium. On 18 July 2019, She made her Test debut for Australia against England at the County Ground.
