At the age of 19 she played her first Women’s national cricket league in the 2005-6 season.
She played many domastic cricket with various cricket team. After performing well in domestic cricket, Haynes got a chance to play in the Australia Women’s National Cricket Team. On 10 July 2009 She made her Test debut for Australia against England.
In the same series against England women, On 7 July 2009 Rachael made her WODI Debut for Australia against England. On 21 February 2010 she made her WT20 International debut for Australia against New Zealand.
