Sikandar Raza is a Professional international cricketer who plays for the Zimbabwe National Cricket team as an All Rounder, He is a Right Handed Batsman and Right-arm Break Bowler. Sikandar plays many domestic t20 League recently he is playing for Punjab Kings in Indian Premier League Tournament as an all-rounder. He made his International debut for Zimbabwe in 2013.
He became one of the best batsmen in the International competitions. Sikandar Raza was born On 24 April 1986 in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan to a middle-class Punjabi-speaking Kashmiri family. Sikandar aspired to become a Pakistan Air Force pilot since childhood, for which he studied for three years at the Pakistan Air Force Public School, Lower Topa, and took the exam, but his dream could not be fulfilled as he failed the vision test, which It was mandatory for selection in Pakistan Airforce.
For some reason, Raza moved to Zimbabwe with his family, after which he went to Scotland for completed his graduate degree in software engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University. It was in Zimbabwe that Raza realized his cricketing potential and played semi-professional cricket. Sikandar made his first-class debut on 12 April 2007 for the Northern team against Easterns during the 2007 Logan Cup.
He made his List A debut for Northern team in 2007. Later He made his Twenty20 debut for the Southern Rocks against the Desert Vipers team. Soon He became one of the best batsmen in the domestic competition and caught the eyes of the Zimbabwean selectors.
He made his One day International(ODI) debut for Zimbabwe on 3 May 2013 against Bangladesh. Sikandar made his T20 International debut for Zimbabwe on 11 May 2013 against Bangladesh team. After that, He made his Test Debut for Zimbabwe on 3 September 2013 against Pakistan.
Due to his Brilliants performance, he was noticed by the selectors and got a chance to play in Ipl. In December 2022 Ipl Auction Sikandar Raza was bought by the Punjab Kings at the price of 50 Lakhs Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament. He made his Ipl debut for Punjab Kings on 1 April 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
