Arundhati Reddy is an Indian Cricketer who plays for Indian Womens Cricket team. Arundhati plays for team Indian as an all rounder player. Arundhati was born on 10 April 1997 in Hyderbad, Telangana India, she started playing cricket from childhood with her elder brother and street kids. Seeing his talent towards cricket, his mother got him admitted to the cricket academy, but after training for some time, Arundhati started attending the camp of Hyderabad Cricket Association.
Arundhati used to train under the guidance of coach Savita Nirali in the Hyderabad Cricket Association, after which Reddy started getting featured in the Hyderabad team and in no time she had made herself an important player of the Hyderabad team. Arundhati Reddy has represented Hyderabad Women’s Cricket Team, South Central Zone Team, India A Women, India B Women, Railway Women’s Cricket Team, Supernovas and Trialblazers team at the domestic level.
Arundhati was 12 when she made her List A debut in 2010. When Arundhari was 15 years old, she was appointed as the captain of the Under-19 Hyderabad team. Arundhati has played many matches for the Hyderabad team, after which she got a chance to play with the India women’s cricket team. On 19 September 2018, Arundhati Reddy got a chance to make her International T20 debut with India against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. 5 matches were played in that series and Arundhati performed well in all the series.
Arundhati impressed the selectors with her performance, after which she was named in the India Women’s squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2018. In March 2019, Arundhati was named in India’s women’s squad for the England Women’s Tour of India. In October 2019, Arundhati was named in India’s women’s squad for the South Africa Women’s Tour of India. In 2020, Arundhati was included in the India Women’s team squad for the ICC Women’s World T20 Australia.
Arundhati Reddy included in India women’s squad for Test series against England women’s cricket team in May 2021. Arundhati was not selected by any team in the first round of the Women’s Premier League 2023 auction, but later Delhi Capitals bought Arundhati Reddy for RS 30 lakhs.
