Manan Vohra was born on 18 July 1993 in Chandigarh, India. Manan loved playing sports since childhood, he grew up watching his grandfather and father playing sports and He was inspired by his grandfather to become an athlete. Manan grandfater is a Yogesh Pratap Singh and he is former hockey player and now he is a Secretary of the Chandigarh Hockey Association. Manan was very fond of cricket from the beginning and he started playing cricket and hockey from a very young age.
Being the grandson of a hockey player, it was very difficult for Manan to choose between cricket or hockey. He decided to make cricket as a professional career, although Manan grandfather wanted him to become a hockey player, but Manan liked cricket more than hockey. But Manan Vohra’s grandfather and father always supported him and helped him a lot in becoming a professional cricketer.
He worked hard to become a cricketer and was selected in the Indian Under-13 squad for the Sharjah Cup in 2004, after that He was selected as a captain of the Punjab Under-19 cricket team, after that Manan was selected in the Indian team squad for the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup but he could not play this tournament due to injury. After that He made his First class debut for Punjab against Saurastra on 17 november 2011 in 2011-12 Ranji Trophy.
After three years Manan made his List “A” debut for Punjab against Haryana on 27 february 2014 in 2013-14 Vijay Hazari Trophy. As a result of his batting style, He impressed ipl selecters and get chance to play in Indian premier league. In 2013 ipl auction Manan was bought by the Kings XI Punjab for 2013 indian premier league tournament at the base price 20 Lakhs Rs.
Manan played IPL matches for Kings XI Punjab from 2013 to 2017, after which In 2018 IPL auction Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Manan for INR 1.10 crore for 2018 Indian Premier League tournament. After that Rajisthan royals bought manan for 20 lakh Rs till 2021 indian premier league tournament.
