Parshavi Chopra is an Indian cricketer who plays as a allrounder for India Women Under-19 cricket team. Parshvi was part of the India Women Under-19 cricket team in which India won the ICC Women’s t20 Under-19 World Cup by defeating England by 26 runs and 7 wickets on 26 January 2023. Parshvi was born on 10 May 2006 in Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh India. Parshvi grew up in a family of cricket enthusiasts, in which her grandfather once played cricket at the zonal level, her father and uncle played club cricket, her family’s cricket quite liked.
Parshvi started her athletic journey before playing cricket. She has won a silver medal in the U-14 Skating Championship with Uttar Pradesh. Parshvi started playing cricket with the boys in the neighborhood when she was 10 years old, after which her parents saw her capability towards the sport and enrolled her in a cricket academy, She has taken training in two cricket academies youngstar cricket academy and Yuvraj Singh Center of Excellence.
Parshvi Chopra has represented Uttar Pradesh at the domestic level. Parshvi could not play for the Uttar Pradesh U-16 team as she was underage according to the rules. But a few years later, she was selected for the Uttar Pradesh Under 16 Chandigarh tour. In which Parshvi was given the best bowler award in chandigarh tour. Because of Parshvi’s brilliant performance, she was selected in the National Cricket Academy.
In 2018–19, She was selected for the BCCI Under 16 ODI tournament in which Parshavi took 17 wickets. Thereafter She was selected for the BCCI Under 19 ODI tournament in 2019-20 in which She took 21 wickets. Parshvi Chopra was the second highest wicket-taker in the BCCI Under-19 ODI tournament. 27 November 2022 Parshvi Chopra made her T20I debut against New Zealand at the MCA Bandra Kulra Complex Ground in Mumbai.
Then Parshvi was named in the India women’s cricket team for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in which Shafali Verma was handling the captaincy and India won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 by 26 runs and 7 wickets against England. Parshvi Chopra has been bought by UP Warriors in the Women’s Premier League 2023 auction for Rs 10 lakh.
